Scarlett Johanson in Dolce & Gabbana Alta Moda 2012.
Whether you’re a male or a female, gay or straight, if you have eyes and you can see, you know the euphoric feeling of seeing a sophisticated, bold, gorgeous woman who has basically just NAILED IT. She is prim, she is proper, she is dressed to the nines and she knows it. Classy, and sexy at the same time, whether her decolletage is covered or not, and whether her dress reaches her thigh or the floor. Confident, glowing and basically just a boss. The Audrey, the Grace, the Sophia and the Marilyn of yesterday. She leaves the entire room breathless. Only a gentleman understands, and every single one wants to meet her, while every single female wants to be her. She has an air of mystery and of unfolding beauty. The Scarlett, the Penelope, the Beyonce and the Blake of today. Perfection and grace, with a hint of healthy conceit. Not a brow un-plucked. Not a hair out of place. Per-fec-tion. Boldness.

Lanvin. Dayumm.

I’m not trying to throw myself, or anyone into a deep depression. This rant does have a purpose. What I want to say is: don’t buy it just for the sake of buying it. Buy it if you try it on and fall in love, and if it fits you like a goddam glove. Buy it if it turned heads in the changing room corridor, or if you feel f$*&ing fantastic in it! When you wear it, ROCK it. Team it with a bold lip and an even bolder attitude, and raise that head.
Oscar De La Renta once said: “Walk like you have three men walking behind you”. A wise man with wise words – sieze the night and you’ll feel that euphoric feeling of owning the room.
Rant over,
xx Karla
